How it works

From raw material to finished spool in 2 to 3 hours

Welcome and tour

We welcome you at Mangersnesvegen, go through safety and show you the factory and the machines.

Preparing the raw material

You help inspect and dry the raw material and set up the line before production starts.

Production

We run the batch together: extrusion to 1.75 mm, measuring and winding, with you following along.

Packing and going home

The filament is vacuum packed and you take home 20 kg you made yourself.

Questions and answers

Do I need experience with 3D printing or production?

No. We guide you through the whole process and no prior knowledge is needed. The experience suits curious beginners and experienced makers alike.

How do we agree a date?

You buy the experience here, then we contact you by e-mail or phone to find a date that suits us both. We are flexible on weekdays.

Which material do we make?

We usually make PLA in 1.75 mm. If you have a colour or material preference, tell us when we agree the date and we will accommodate it as far as we can.

Can we come as a group?

Yes. The price covers one experience for a small group. If there are many of you, contact us in advance and we will arrange something.

Where do I collect the filament?

You take it with you the same day, packed and ready, from the factory in Manger.
